The idea
Biotite is a mica — a dark, unglamorous mineral whose defining property is perfect cleavage: it splits naturally into thin, distinct, orderly sheets.
That's the property we named the studio after, because it's what good AI systems have and demos don't. A system you can rely on is built in clean layers — data, retrieval, model behavior, agent logic, integrations, interface — each engineered so it can be inspected, evaluated, and improved on its own. When those layers are fused into one clever prompt, you get something that works in a meeting and fails in a workflow.
Biotite Solutions exists to build the first kind: complete, production-oriented AI systems for businesses whose processes, data, and software are too specific for off-the-shelf products.

Production is the standard
A system counts when it runs inside your operation — integrated, documented, and evaluated — not when it demos well. We build toward that standard from the first week.

We decide deliberately what a system may do on its own and where people review its work. Autonomy is an engineering decision with an audit trail, never a default.

Reliability claims come from evaluation against your real cases. If we can't measure it yet, we say so and build the measurement.

Who you'll work with
Biotite Solutions was founded by Joe Samara, an engineer who has designed and delivered AI systems for biotech, technology, and manufacturing companies: custom agents in TypeScript and Python, image analysis pipelines with OpenCV, retrieval-augmented knowledge systems, AI-assisted video tagging, and executive decision-support dashboards integrated in real time with systems like HiBob and Greenhouse.
